Thomas Ledwith

Profile

Tom is a Senior Counsel in our Counseling Services and Professional Liability practice areas.  Tom’s practice focuses primarily on health care, representing domestic, UK and Bermuda based insurers and reinsurers underwriting hospital, physician, allied health and long term care programs.  He counsels insurers on coverage and exposure, and provides claims monitoring and litigation management.  Additionally, Tom has significant experience in professional liability claims involving lawyers, accountants, and directors and officers, and serves as claims and monitoring counsel to the Bermuda captive of one of the world’s largest accounting and professional service firms, and counsels the captive on claims and litigation pending in North and South America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East. 

Tom joined Mendes in 2003, from the litigation department of a national law firm.  Tom also is a Certified Public Accountant and practiced in public accounting for over thirteen years before beginning his law career.
