Profile

Since joining Mendes in 2009, Giuseppe’s practice focuses on matters involving toxic exposure to hazardous substances, including asbestos. Giuseppe has negotiated Coverage in Place Agreements, full policy commutations and structured settlements while also defending clients in coverage litigation.

In addition to his litigation practice, Giuseppe also serves as monitoring counsel for various insurance companies as well as coordinating counsel for various aviation assureds, whereby he manages aviation-related exposure claims. His experience includes supervising and coordinating defense strategies throughout the country, as well as defending legal actions in various exposure and products liability matters. He also works on marine and energy matters representing insurers and reinsurers with respect to coverage issues or defending assureds where coverage has been accepted.

Additionally, Giuseppe has served as local counsel for a variety of civil litigation matters in New York, involving the defense of a construction product manufacturer in a personal injury action, the enforcement of foreign judgment and defense of a information software company in a computer software and systems litigation dispute.

Notably, Giuseppe spent an extended period of time working in London/Guildford on secondment with Enstar Group providing legal counsel and opinions on various matters.

Giuseppe is a member of the American Bar Association. Giuseppe is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey as well as the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, Eastern District of New York, Southern District of New York and Eastern District of Wisconsin.
