Since joining Mendes in 1997,  Ed has represented insurers regarding professional liability claims involving miscellaneous professionals such as insurance agents, real estate brokers, property managers, and other professionals.  Ed also represents insurers in connection with North American property claims and financial institutions insurance, including Mortgage Protection Insurance and Force Placed Insurance.  Ed also assists clients in drafting new policy wordings and advises clients on the potential risks presented by proposed coverage.  Ed has a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  His engineering background is often very helpful when investigating the basis for property and miscellaneous professional liability claims.

He currently serves on the firm’s Management Committee.
